Uribel Uses
Uribel with the generic name hyoscyamine, methenamine, methylene blue, phenyl salicylate, sodium biphosphate, is an oral medication indicated to treat symptoms of irritative voidings, such as bladder pain, discomfort, frequent urge to urinate, and cramps or spasms. It is intended for symptomatic relief in the urinary tract caused by an infection or medical procedure.
This is available in Uribel capsule 120 mg/0.12 mg/10 mg/36 mg/41 mg.
Uribel Mechanism of Action
This urinary tract analgesic, antispasmodic, and antiseptic works primarily by relaxing the smooth muscle and producing an antispasmodic effect. This drug also releases formaldehyde that provides bactericidal and bacteriostatic action. Additionally, it also possesses weak antiseptic properties and mild analgesic effect and helps maintain an acid pH in the urine.
How to use Uribel
To begin, read the medication information sheet included with this medicine. Do not use this type of drug without fully understanding the drug information and precautions printed in the guide. You must also practice safety precautions when doing activities that require clear vision and alertness, such as driving and using machinery.
