Mydriacyl is a prescription medication that is primarily used by optometrists for eye examination. Mydriacyl relaxes the muscles in the eyes, allowing pupils to dilate and be easily examined.
Mydriacyl solution should be stored at room temperature in an area that is protected from heat and moisture. Ensure that the bottle is tightly closed when not in use.
This medication may cause blurred vision, or increase your eyes’ sensitivity to light; use caution if you must drive, operate machinery or complete any other tasks that require clear vision. The effects of Mydriacyl may last up to twenty-four hours.
It’s important to protect your eyes if you go outdoors into the sunlight after using Mydriacyl. While under the effects of Mydriacyl, do not use any other forms of eye medication unless your doctor has instructed you to.
Patient Family Information : This medication is generally administered in the doctor’s office during an eye examination.
